When ever I mention tax to require investment for relief some body always tells me that capital investment by the wealthy crerates jobs, yeah overseas!! The Bush tax breaks are the worlds worst as we cut taxes you could track the money going overseas creating jobs for the Chinese, the Koreans and the various Baltic countries!! Never has a Tax Break done less for the American people than this last Round of Bush cuts!! The common folks received peanuts that they used to buy foreign made trinkets and those on the upper end invested in overseas ventures!!! Bleeding America of Capital is all that was accomplished!!

If you keep taxing you might get that unemployment rate up in the teens (BTW, we all know it is around 17% and not the bogus 9.7% this administration is reporting). The USA has the highest corporate tax rate in the industrialized world. Your complaint about taxes is not consistent with the facts. If higher taxes were the answering Michigan and California would be booming right now. Lastly, I will close with this, due to the ENORMOUS debt brought about by the Obama/Pelosi/Reid China-Debt Stimulus Bill, more of the tax revenue will be needed to service the ballooning debt. This is to say less welfare for unions and their mob leaders and social activist.  It is payday some day and that day has arrived.

America has to come up with a way to spur American investment. The best way is tax break incentives TARGETED toiwards American investment. We will not put tariifs on imports or exports, the solution is tax breaks for targeted industry, projects etc.

Example I moved my money over 2 years ago out of the high risk stocks and into goverment bond mutual funds. TT should be the expert but I also was advised to put money into Muncipal Bond Funds, both are conservative investments. I am slowly moving back into stock funds. I am using my retirement account to do this. I have my own private savings fund and a 457 and I would love to see incentives from the Feds to invest further in such funds. How about funds targeted entirely into investment into American enterprise to create home grown jobs and money???

And...no-one puts a gun to Congress' head either, there is such a thing as actually working towards political solutions rather than simply stomping your feet and saying "Nein! Nein! Nein! Nein!"

The idea of tax cuts was to spur the economy, what we got was record deficits and a depression close to the one we had in the 1930's We ended up bailing out the banking industry and the major auto industry and other industries were put into bankruptcy. Folks leveraged their homes past their value and the entire crap storm brought us to the fringe of insolvency. I don't know what good keeping the tax cuts in place would accomplish.

Forced redistribution of wealth will NEVER work. History has  made this lesson exceedingly vivid for those with the prudence to gain knowledge on the subject. Collective forms of government fail to take into consideration the carnal nature of man and his tendency for self-destruction. Government is not the answer or your salvation.

You can be lead to the waters of wisdom but we can't force you to drink. Union utopias are about as realistic as pink unicorns dancing on green grass planted by pixies sprinkling magic seed dust. You need to go back and read the diaries of William Bradford the Governor of the Plymouth Colony. Zero in on the early days of the colony and the concept of work ethic Bradford developed over the first few years. I am not sure they teach this sort of thing since the liberals have almsot destroyed the educational system in our nation but I bet we still have a few libraries left that contain a scintella of truth regarding the founders of our nation if you look hard enough.

jbw, the water of wisdom has been there for you to drink for years yet you prefer to die of ignorance and stupidity...

Absolutely correct PV...the redistribution of wealth from the middle class to the top 1-2% damn sure hasn't worjbw, the history of the eight wannabee dictator years should make that abundently clear!

Yeah, conservative utopias ("tax cuts pay for themselves; trickle down economics benefit everyone") are about as realistic as one of Timothy Leary's LSD trips.

Water of widom?? Is that anything like Ronald Reagans Trickle Down Theory? I am sure the water of wisdom you speak of is the same as Ronald Reagsn trickle, it is warm salty and yellow.
