Great story in the KNS today about Beverly Mulholland, a 51 year old server at the Cumberland Grill planning to donate one of her kidneys to Tank Strickland.  Strickland is the Chairman of the Knox County Commission.  Ms. Mulholland recently met Mr. Strickland at a church meeting and volunteered to make the donation.  The world needs more people like Ms. Mulholland.

I know Tank, known him for years. I will have to bite my tongue on this one... I remember when he operated the market across from Walter P Taylor Homes on McConnell street.  He had a laundry Mat, tape rental store and an arcade in the same building. Sold cheap cigs for 25 cents and beer on credit....

I hope he treats this kidney better than the other ones.........

Reflections on 12 years of Catholic Education.

It is a bit embarrassing to have been concerned with the human problem all one's life and find at the end that one has no more to offer by way of advice than "try to be a little kinder".
