Is Michael Jackson the most influential act in Music History?

The Stones took R&B and the Blues and added the Rock and Roll beat and brought it to America. They evolved with the era from simple ballads and covers of R&B songs with a Rock Roll beat to Psychadelic on to dance floor disco to now. They evolved with the music and are still going strong in 2009 from their start in 1962. They evolved the music. They were the band that made the Mega arena work with the early fancy backdrops and the mega electronic sound system.

Jackson went from Bubble Gum to Pop and added the Dance to the music!! He was the number 1 reason that MTV could sell its format. He did the Moon Walk.  He took the Big Arenas and expanded to gothic size formats. He added scripted sounds, scripted dance sets, special effects, and even jetted off stage in a rocket pack.  He was the kid who made the music video work with THRILLER!!
