to the British journal Lancet and acknowledged that abortion is a cause of breast cancer.  They wrote, "Induced abortion before first term pregnancy increases the risk of breast cancer."  (Lancet, 2/22/86, p. 436)

As of 2006, eight medical organizations recognize that abortion raises a woman's risk for breast cancer, independently of the risk of delaying the birth of a first child (a secondary effect that all experts already acknowledge).  An additional medical organization, the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, issued a statement in 2003 calling on doctors to inform patients about a "highly plausible" relationship between abortion and breast cancer.  General counsel for that medical group wrote an article for its journal warning doctors that three women (two Americans, one Australian) successfully sued their abortion providers for neglecting to disclose the risks of breast cancer and emotional harm, although none of the women had developed the disease.

I'm with LTC on this. Take this crap to the religious forum where it belongs.

I'm pretty sure every poster here knows you're against abortion.

It seems you guys are the ones who keep bringing up religion when it comes to the topic, perhaps that explains your TRUE reason for opposing abortion.

You might be correct...if you had not made it into a religious issue in most of your other posts....as it is, you, a one issue wingnut are bringing your one issue to this forum in thread after thread, after thread and are now trying to say it is only political....your religious fanaticism has preceded this thread and the numerous newer ones you have posted on abortion....try and deny this is not reigiously motivated....you cannot if you are honest.  You cannot get any discussion over on the failed board, and so you bring numerous threads over here...and sadly, we get sucked into your fanaticism.

See knowledge that says it all right there.

EVERY post I make I mention God and the fact that LTC and flummoxed Lummox are going to spend an eternity in a lake of fire because they unrepentantly  support the murder of hundreds of millions of innocent human beings. I also tell how human beings are created in God's IMAGE, and deserving of the utmost respect and dignity at all stages of their lives.

I never mention SCIENCE, like what biology and embryology tells us about the human life, nor do I mention the health tolls abortion takes on women, like breast cancer, infection, low birth rate, blood loss, or death. I also never see fit to argue the political merits of anti-abortion, like how our constitution and bill of rights acknowledges that we all have rights to life, and that we need legally to be protected from the state, and from enemies who would take those rights away from us. And of course I never mention how it was republicans who brought us ROE V WADE and they are also the ones who have yet to save ONE babies life with all their money making and laws that end with "and then you can kill the baby!" It's unfortunate that I rely so heavily on my limited arguments about faith and God and religion whenever I post about Abortion.

Dang it if only I could see past my religious dogma and make an adult argument against abortion rather than relying on name calling, insults and threats of hell fire.

Quote
Some recent studies have shown a link between induced abortion and breast cancer, while other studies have shown that there is no link. According to WPC’s Medical Director and OB/GYN, Dr. James Moran, the current consensus is that the medical community is unsure about whether there is a connection between breast cancer and induced abortion. However, it has been shown that full term pregnancy provides a protective effect against breast cancer.
