This guy was unfit for service and add his terrorist sympathies it clearly shows that the Army failed to act because of the PC atmosphere that engulfs the US military.

Had this guy not been a Muslim there is no way he would have been around to commit his terrorist acts

If it's true as has been reported that he had paid back his student loans and hired a lawyer to get out of the military, but had been denied permission, then I don't think political correctness had anything to do with them refusing his request to get out.

They probably didn't kick him out the same reason they have soldiers with mental illness doing combat tours - they are short handed and the pace of two wars is really stressing the military, forcing them to keep people in the military who in ordinary times would be long gone.  And the fact that they are really short of mental health professionals and have a mental health crisis with up to 30% of combat veterans affected and not nearly enough staff to address it means they would try hard to keep those they have, including Muslims who had requested an early end to their commitment and to avoid combat duty.

Yes, I believe he "snapped." If you don't think people do irrational acts while under severe stress, you don't read the news paper or watch the news. Many a "good ole boy" has snapped and shot his wife when he found out she was cheating. Or take the recent case of wrestler Chris Benoit. A clear example of someone who snapped, albeit for different reasons than Hasan.

This was a man angry at the army for making him do something he had religious and moral objections. It was not an act of terrorism. It was a mentally disturbed individual who "snapped" and tried to lash back at all those whom he perceived as the source of his stress.

Nobody defended the guy.  He's a mass murderer, that much we do know.  We don't know that he "walked around dressed in muslim garb and spent most of his time railing against the United States."

Well, look at the idiot old dead beat fall right into the trap.    You really make this so easy that sometimes I feel like I'm picking on crippled kids.    So, putting it in context, NCV was actually saying, "he voted for it before he voted against it."  He said what he said.  If he is too cowardly to stand behind what he said, he should at least apologize for saying it.

You seem especially angry today.   Of course, I've always heard special needs people get frustrated really easily when they can't keep up with the conversation.
