The Central Avenue store is no more. Donny has moved on from beautiful beautiful Central Avenue and his daughter and her friend have relocated to the Market Square. They opened Monday and will have 10-6 hours Mon-Thurs and be open until 9 on the weekends. The founder and owner are friends of OMG and myself. The friend who is opening the new store with his daughter is a kid my daughter use to babysit. Her Dad is a Pipefitter and mom works with my wife at TVA.

Reminder that Time Warp Tea Room still serves the Limited Steamboat menu.

Hopefully, they will be able to extend their 10-6 hours Mon-Thurs starting in Spring.  Market Square seems much busier during the evening hours.

There is plenty of free parking on evenings and weekends in the nearby Walnut Street garage.

Let's stop in and support these people, I know some of our best friends are located on MSM. Dupree the Lawyer, Steamboat  and Bliss are all folks that have contributed to keeping SPS going, lets salute them...

Their sandwiches make Subway seem like something you would get out of a machine or from Kroger's they are that good.....

plumbervol,

I never have occasion to visit the Market Square Mall; but, if I ever do, I will support as many SPS difference-makers as possible...

PV, I drove by the place tonight about 7:00 and it was pitch dark.  I know they were closed but they need to leave some lights on so people are aware that they exist.  Maybe some neon Bud, Miller, signs in the windows or something.

Bama Nation I let them know what you said about better lighting and ads. Apparently they have not yet started opening in the weekend evenings. Expect the Spring time downtown event draws to speed up their longer hours....

PV, I might be looking at the wrong location.  Are they in the space on the corner that formerly had a bar/restaurant called McLeods?  If so, I don't think they have even put up a sign outside with their name.

My wife is going to a retirement party for a fellow co worker today at TVA. They are bring these LONG SANDWICHES in a BOX to the party from Steamboat cut up in serving pieces. If you give them 24 hour notices they can provide these for your parties. They are LONG sandwiches made up that you open up(3' long I believe) and serve out of the box. It is a kick presentation. We had a business event awhile back and Donnie brought a table an line workers on site and made up sandwiches the way the individual wanted them on site as you went down the line..
