The Central Avenue store is no more. Donny has moved on from beautiful beautiful Central Avenue and his daughter and her friend have relocated to the Market Square. They opened Monday and will have 10-6 hours Mon-Thurs and be open until 9 on the weekends. The founder and owner are friends of OMG and myself. The friend who is opening the new store with his daughter is a kid my daughter use to babysit. Her Dad is a Pipefitter and mom works with my wife at TVA.

Reminder that Time Warp Tea Room still serves the Limited Steamboat menu.

I love the Steamboat. I usually get a large "Steamboat" sandwich. Better than almost any other sandwich you can get in Knoxville. The only problem is their location. That hole in the wall on Central was awfull and Market square will be tough due to parking. It may be a good option when I take my son to a movie at the Riviera on Saturdays.

plumbervol,

Check the zip code.

When I was a boy, I delivered sandwiches, washed dishes, etc. at Chubby's. My recollection is that this was before the minimum wage laws and it was a hard job with little recompense. The biggest tip I ever got was 15 cents at Xerox in the Burwell Building. Again, I'm old...

My wife says do it or I have to sleep on the coach. Donny and I worked this out a long time ago per the rights to use Steamboat menu at the Time Warp

I bet sleeping on Fulmer would be a lot more comfortable than Kiffin or Dooley...
