FL is a classic liberal...he can't take a minute to look at Bayh's vote on President Obama's agenda and see where that puts him on the political scale.

Health Care - voted yes
Cap and Trade - voted yes
Stimulus - voted yes

He has voted for every major bill that Liberals support.   Bayh was and is a MINO...moderate in name only.  His voting record says he is a liberal.  In a red state like Indiana he didn't stand much of a chance of re-election.

Well your own confrere, Just Wind, stated a few days ago that Bayh was "kicked out" by the Dems for not being "liberal enough." Which is it?

1. There was no cap and trade vote in the Senate. Dear Buddha you're clueless. Bayh Voted YES on requiring full Senate debate and vote on cap-and-trade. That's not the same thing as voting for cap and trade.
2. Many Republicans voted for the BOTH stimulus bills and the first one came straight from the Bush administration. I guess they are "liberals" too???

You conveniently ignored all the votes where Bayh did not support the "liberal" agenda. I somehow don't think Obama was in agreement with Bayh on some of these (just to name a few):

1. Voted YES on restricting UN funding for population control policies.
2. Voted YES on notifying parents of minors who get out-of-state abortions.
3. Voted YES on loosening restrictions on cell phone wiretapping.
4. Voted YES on recommending Constitutional ban on flag desecration.
5. Voted YES on restricting rules on personal bankruptcy.
6. Voted YES on declaring memorial prayers and religious symbols OK at schools.

The above votes sure don't sound liberal to me.

The truth is Bayh is a MODERATE. He sometimes votes with liberals and he sometimes votes with conservatives. To label Bayh as a "liberal" is just inaccurate.

Bowing to racist pressure from NY Democratic Party apparatchiks, Harold Ford, Jr. has suspended his campaign leaving the cluelessly slimy Kirsten Gillebrand as the EGP nominee for Senate.

http://cityroom.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/03/01/ford-decides-not-to-run/

Of course this IS a NYT article which renders it instantly suspect, but since getting Junior Ford out of the way is the official EGP party line, I have a relatively high degree of confidence in this story.

Right, it was RACIST pressure.

As I recall, it was NOT racist for a bunch of white, southern republicans to run commercials of white women longing for the strapping black guy "Harold, Call Me!!!", but that's the past and we're constantly reminded to look forward not back.

And in this case I'm sure that the people of NY were just dying for another Wall Street a$$ kisser and puppet carpetbagger.  I'm sure they really needed another guy who got paid seven figures for having coffee in luxury hotels, while living rent free in daddy's condo.  This is also the guy who saw one of the boroughs, from his HELICOPTER, and who was against gay marriage before he was for it, anti-abortion before he was pro-choice.   He's the WORST of what the democrats have to offer, and that's saying something.  You might as well vote for a Goldman Sachs VP and be done with it.  You'd get the same set of policy choices where it mattered.

BTW, for all you concerned about tax cheats, the story mentioned Ford moving to NY in 2006 and working as Vice Chairman for Merrill Lynch since 2007.  So,
1) Has a residence in NYC - Daddy's condo.
2) Getting paid seven figures by Merrill Lynch to have coffee.

Anyone want to guess how many New York/New York City tax returns Harold has filed, how many times he's voted in NY?  Hint, it's the same number of times any of the conservatives will vote for Obama!

Yeah, he was a PERFECT candidate for the Senate.

Eric Massa, (EGP-Pedo) has announced his "retirement" after one term, amid allegations of sexual misconduct.

Quote
First-term Rep. Eric Massa announced Wednesday will not seek re-election, saying his doctors have told him that he can’t continue to “run at a 100 miles an hour.”

But several House aides told POLITICO that the House ethics committee has been informed of allegations that the New York Democrat, who is married with two children, sexually harassed a male staffer.

House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) said Wednesday evening that he was aware of the allegations – and that he knew about them before the news broke.

"I’ve heard of that allegation before," he said. "I had some indication, yes, but I don’t want to go beyond that. And my presumption (is) it's being pursued in the course of business."

<snip>

Massa’s departure also adds to the woes of New York Democrats, who have been on the defensive this week amid a scandal surrounding Gov. David Paterson, who announced he wasn’t running for election, and the tribulations involving embattled Rep. Charles Rangel (D-N.Y.), who stepped down as chairman from the House Ways and Means Committee Wednesday.

Massa’s departure could scramble the Republican field since the filing deadline is not until July. Potential candidates include: Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks, state Assemblyman Brian Kolb and state Senator Kathy Young.

Massa defeated former GOP Rep. John “Randy” Kuhl (R-N.Y.) in 2008 by a two-point margin.

So, back to a question I asked back in January of last year, "Does Obama know ANYONE that is not a sleazy, corrupt, sack of sh*t?"

I've yet to see one.

I didn't know Obama and this guy were close.  Interesting.

Since all democrats are lumped together, then all republicans must all be lumped together.  Using this brilliant theory of linkage, I suppose the question I'd ask, given the story about the Georgia Honorables (the family values guy who banged his mother in law who was appointed to fill the seat of the other guy who was caught banging the lobbyist) - "Does Eric Cantor know ANYONE that isn't a mother(in-law)fu**er?"

I wonder if the loons will remain "strangely silent" about the actual misconduct?

That's called being a hypocrite.

omg's link won't work...seems they have maybe taken it down....could there have been a lie or two in that article????  now is working.  But this one does...

BTW...

Quote
The word missing from both the NYT and AP stories is “sexually,” as in “sexually harassed,” what the Politico used to describe this based on anonymous sources before Massa announced his retirement. Somewhere along the line, that got dropped, but not before Politico titillated DC and conjured up a series of comparisons to Mark Foley, basically besmirching the good name of a guy who had his third cancer recurrence scare in December.

This is a guy who was told in 1996 that he wouldn’t last six months. He survived, but now must leave Congress as a result. And Politico thinks it’s completely cool to slap him with the male predator label, when this allegation, which basically can be made by anyone, has been described in such a way by the major media today as more like someone Massa yelled at too much.

To be fair, they did win the afternoon.

UPDATE: Now the DC insider rag The Hotline is saying that Massa “is no Mark Foley,” even though their Reid Wilson compared him directly to Foley yesterday. This is just character assassination now.

http://news.firedoglake.com/2010/03/04/word-sexually-magically-disappears-from-massa-misconduct-charges/

To satisfy sasquart...if the allegations are true,,,he is a scumbag...just as are all the repug scumbags....the difference is that as of this minute, the allegations against him have been denied by him and, as I stated they are ALLEGATIONS. What vitter, foley , craig, ashburn and the other family values hypocrites of the repugnacraps have done are NOT allegations...they are true! Proved...confessed to...etc...etc..etc.

Rep. Eric Massa to resign

Democratic Rep. Eric Massa will resign from Congress on Monday...In a statement released Friday, Massa directly addressed the ethics issue for the first time, acknowledging that he used language that might have made staffers uncomfortable. But he did not specifically address any specific sexual harassment allegations.

“I own this reality. There is no doubt in my mind that I did in fact, use language in the privacy of my own home and in my inner office that, after 24 years in the Navy, might make a Chief Petty Officer feel uncomfortable,” Massa said. “In fact, there is no doubt that this Ethics issue is my fault and mine alone..there is also no doubt that an Ethics investigation would tear my family and my staff apart.”
[/b]

Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) also publicly acknowledged that his staff had told a former Massa aide that he should report the Massa harassment allegation to the ethics committee or else Hoyer would take it to the ethics panel himself.
