I guess it depends on how much the debt ceiling is raised or how much money the leaders can print. Oh well, I have hope!

Bloomberg is showing its partisan colors with that article.  Or maybe just playing to the audience.

If they want to insert a name in place of the U.S., the only appropriate one is Ben Bernanke, who's the one actually printing money, keeping short term rates at below zero on a real basis, and desperately trying to CREATE inflation, not Obama.  Obama (as well as George W. Bush and the reckless spenders in the GOP) have been ENABLED by Federal Reserve policies to borrow at low rates since it's the Federal Reserve that controls those rates. 

You do know how Helicopter Ben got that nickname don't you?  He said a determined Federal Reserve can always prevent deflation by printing money and if necessary raining it down on the country by helicopter.  We now see Ben was serious.  Inflation is the GOAL, since inflation reduces the cost of borrowing and is friendly to those deep in debt, like the banks, and the U.S. Government, and all those entities out there who drowned themselves in debt and now need a little inflation to make the payback easier.
