Da Vicky cast your laser beams on the slop that is SEC BBall. How's that 5 SEC teams and Miss St lock working out for ya?    Get back to what you know Pat Summitt BBall, and lickin Fat Phil's ever enlarging moobs.  Nationally the face of Tenn BBall is still your girl Pat Head Summitt, just a courtesy reality check while your sucking down the J_____ Bobby Huggins apples.
You are like that little boy in the back of the room that everyone makes fun of so he yells all kind of stupidity to get noticed. We are watching. I feel bad for you. The way the ACC is so bad and without UNC to prop them up it really looks bad. Like the Plumber said, perception is reality. I guess the facts that the ACC has sucked out loud for years is overlooked by the perception of the media that they are good. Keep in mind that the ESPN basketball media all played in the ACC. Where is C__________ Roy Williams??

That was still better than UK and Florida did last year.

big deal...when you win national championships or conference championships its o.k. to have a few bad years...when your TN and the pinnacle of your program is making it to the Sweet 16 you have nothing to brag about.

The big deal is consistency. There are no bad years under Pearl, period. Who would subscribe to a theory of having bad years as being OK? Roy Williams and Billy Clyde probably.

RickTNVols, What are you saying?  Would you take the results of what Bruce Pearl has produced the last 5 years over that of Roy Williams?

get your pens ready. KY fans, your sport is basketball. Yes over half of your titles where against assistant football coaches playing in a segregated era but that is your sport. You are suppose to beat Tenn. UNC's sport is basketball. In spite of the fact that they only have 5 titles in all these years. They are suppose to win more than Tenn. Only Tenn is starting to close the gap in a sport that is not their sport. So yes, most intelligent fans (that leaves this bunch out) compare the sport vs. their own history and not another schools. That simple. Since Tenn is the winningest program in the best conference over the last 5 years I would take Pearl all day every day. The educated UNC fan would as well. Remember, the SEC is about to tie the ACC in titles in their own sport. If that happens, the SEC will have 3 of the past 5 titles. Domination baby.

Regardless of what the idiots fans like T T think, the basketball world is amazed and impressed by what Pearl has done and will tell you that he has done the best job in college basketball over the past 5 years outside of the Donovan run. That is the circles I run in. You run in the OSKY, Top and TT circles. No wonder you are lost.

Actually, the gap has widened.  5 years ago, UNC had 3 championships and UT had 0.  Now UNC has 5 and UT has 0.

The SEC has sucked the last 2 years.

No, I'm saying that previous success should never be an excuse for regression. The Roy Williams example is perfect. There is ZERO excuse for that team to be where it is in 2010. Deplorable.

In hoops, the whole roster can be gutted from one year to the next.  It happens.  Its not deplorable if he bounces back and has UNC in the National Championship picture soon.

So by the same logic, Pearl should be commended for completely changing this team and strategy mid season and winning against those odds. Keep in mind reloading with walk-on type talent, not 5 star UNC athletes.

Could UT play itself into a 3 seed?

I'd say that is a possibility, Plumb.
They might need to make it to the semi's of the SEC tourney.
If they keep playing like they did yesterday, they could go far.
