he can't even get Minnesota into the NCAA tournament.  If he is such a great coach, why are his teams always under achieving?

(footnote...the 03-04 overachieved and was a bright spot on his coaching resume)

He won you a NC, lets see if Cal can do the same. I would be suprised if he did. Lets see if he gets you put on probation, I would be suprised if he doesn't.

I like Tubby and think he's a good coach.  It was clear that he was unable to recruit the level of talent needed to suceed at UK long term.  Billy Clyde is a good coach too, but after he signed Patrick Patterson, he started recruiting 5th graders.  Cal should be able to sign studs every year.

I'd do him.

KY is trying to regroup after a legend. This will be their only hope at a title for many years. Better get some now cause it won't happen again for a very long time...unless you can get the rest of the conference to name a few assistant gym errr football coaches to hoops and ban the brothers. Outside of that you are in the same go forward boat as Tenn. Back to reality baby.

Tubby is a good man. They ran him out of town because he would not wild cash it.

Tubby bolted because he knew he could not meet UK expectations.

DaVols, Cal took UK from the NIT to a #1 seed in one year.  He will continue to sign better players than the rest of the stiffs in the SEC.

Tubby is a man of integrity, KY did not deserve him....... He was not a good quote or a media darlin. He never gave out WWF beatdown schpills, he just won KY a NC. I have more respect for his NC than I have respect for any of KY's NC, his was done the right way.

This coming from a fanbase who ran Jerry Green and his 4 20's so they could get Buzz Peterson and his integrity(NIT).Then they run Buzz to hire the snake oil salesman from southern Indianna.

I don't think a fanbase who hasn't won a National Championship should be degrading another's championships. You people are starting to resemble Auburn fans and how they deal with being irrelevant.

You people are comical.

Lest you forget, we did win a National Title in 1998 and we ridiculed bama so badly over it for 11 years they they still come to UT chat sniffing boards and cry even though they just won a NC title themselves.

Plumber respects Tubby & his NC as do many SEC fans.  bama and UKA$H fans don't respect anyone except their own public relations spinners.

That is a fair point. But the talent level fell on that team from the last 5 year run. What was that 9 first rounders off of those teams?
