Dan Rather - Obama Couldn't Even 'Sell Watermelons'

Sasquatch:
"not paying their fair share of the tax burden"

I would love to see a chart or some other visual aid that explains what the "fair share of the tax burden" is for ALL Americans.

Anyone...Anyone..?

My guess is that it is all relative to what you have/make. What I consider to be my "fair share" would not be considered "fair enough" by others. In other words, unless everybody makes the same and is taxed the same, there will always be class envy.

And of course there will always be democrats that will seek to avoid paying taxes all together.  //BIB/

Why he be selling watermelons fo'?  He gots my gas bills to pay first.

KNOWLEDGE:
I would counter that it's the families that have been on welfare for generations that are not paying their fair share of the tax bill.

LTC is silent as usual...Dan Rather is not a racist...Trent Lott who never said anything close to this is a racist.  With standards like that its no wonder LTC spews the hate that he does.

I was reading an article on on Obama and his popularity, people really like the guy, but he is considered a poor leader.

One of the smartest presidents in modern history was Jimmy Carter( Engineering degree from the Naval Academy, he graduated 59th out of 820) but he was a poor president. Truman never attended college was well thought of of and now considered a success but was basically forced to the side to bring in Eisenhower. The last Bush sort of had paper credentials, questions on how he got into college and his military non career,  is considered a moron by most people across the World and many here, but the guy was able to accomplish his agenda in congress.

I was reading some poll results on WSJ On-line and some other mag that seemed to cite the same polls. People hate congress democrat and republican. Consider them part of the problem, but Obama is a guy they like. But he is getting failing poll numbers within his own Party for a lack of leadership skills. Some say the right candidate could force the setting prez out in a hard fought primary fight. Trouble is in those scenarios the sitting party never wins!!

Further both articles said that America believes the rich need to be taxed more, The upper middle class are not paying their fair share of the tax burden. That congress needed to be creating jobs and not playing with health care.  The kicker that surprised me was that overall that religious lobby's had to much power in Washington.  Corporate interests had to much influence in Washington. These are not commie pinko media driven polls that the right considered biased but the polls they cited these were some of the polling numbers that  right always use.

My opinion the Tea Party folks are popular because they are anti status quo, but as a friend that works for Alexander told me if this grass root movement ever takes hold the Republican Country club rank and file would get their asses kicked from the momentum. The old common man needs relief lets kick the rich mans ass. Or as the old school use to call it POPULISM

Not only did Bush get his agenda through but he stopped the Middle East from becoming the third super power. THAT was the agenda all along and not the weapons. Bush will be looked at as one of the most successful Presidents by history when it is all looked at. I will not agree with the Carter take.
