POLITICAL CORRUPTION?  Gee, those two states have it going on.  Who can keep up with the sleeze?

If you wanted to be a corrupt politician, where would you go?

If you were a tourist and wanted to visit corrupt politicians, where would you go?

Tough call.  I know Chicago has Blago and the 59th vote in Burress, not to mention Resco and to use a liberal left term, Tea Bagger Emanuel, but NYC has it beaten:

The Clinton's are HOFers.

Rangel has about 4 or 5 wannabees.

Spitizer, Patterson, and Massa are probably all going to receive pensions.

The Kennedy's have made a lot of money in Chicago, but it seems as if half the family has been installed or an attempt was made to install one of them in a NY political office.

I would have to give it to New York.

I would have voted Washington D.C.   if it was a choice, however I had to pick Illinois....though truthfully it is a tie.

I would give New York a slight edge because anyone from anywhere can apparently and come in and run for one of their offices. (see Hillary, Harold Ford, and Caroline)

And I'd counter with Illinois with the Daley famiily, the Dems stealing the 1960 Presidential election here, and the most recent governor who was selling the Senate seat.

You make a strong point. That family has cast an evil shadow over that town for generations. I might need to rethink my New York vote. All these major urban governments have been under Democrat rule for decades now and they seem to become more violent, bankrupt, and chaotic as each year passes with skyrocketing unemployment and no hope. Nevertheless, Democrats keep getting elected to rule.
