Yeah, let him give a game away in the SEC tourney in a gym filled with UK fans who have taken vacation and spent $100 per ticket.    They will let him know how much the SEC tourney means.    Of course, BSF and the rest of the UK faithful will spend the next two weeks telling us how the tourney really doesn't mean much and they didn't mind losing that game......just like they have been obsessing over how the loss to UT didn't really mean anything either.       After all, they are smart enough, they are good enough and doggone it people like them.

Knowledge...it is the Conference Tournament...I want to win whether my coach does or not.  It will Banner #26 for the SEC Tournament that is more than the rest of the SEC schools combined.  If we don't win then we failed.

I know.  You and the rest of the Big Blue faithful feel that way and Calipari better figure that out before this tournament is over or his honeymoon will be over.   He obviously doesn't know or doesn't appreciate your program or he wouldn't make statements like that.

Too bad TN fans don't demand championships or you guys wouldn't be happy with Pearl.  Clearly early exits in tournaments and poor post season play seems to be the standard for UT fans.  Only thing TN fans care about is if you finish above KY or if you split the regular season match up.

UT BB history is a joke. UTBB has never been big winners and Pearls postseason record is 9-8, which is a winning record in post season play. Since Pearl arrived, UT's post season record is better than UsuKs. At least he has got the Vols to the post season. How many years in a row has UsuK been to the NCAA tourney?

KY basketball has a championship tradition.
U /T/hugs tradition is "if, woulda, coulda, shoulda, the refs cheat"

I'm sure KY fans worry about what a guy whose bank account contains double digits says.

I'd do him.

UsuK fans are funny. I saw a post on another board that had quotes of UsuK fans who were ripping Calipari for his cheating ways. They ripped him for not being a X's and O's type of coach. They all, to a person, stated that Bruce Pearl was a better coach than Squidward. All these quotes are from 2 years ago when Memphis choked away the NC game. I have never laughed so hard as what some of these guys were saying about their new head coach. I am sure BSF was leading the way. Gotta love old internet archives that allow for such entertainment. Lots of UsuK fans are sorta in hiding if you smell what I am cooking. The ones that arn't in hiding are still complaining about the officials in thier 2 losses. In UsuK fans warped minds, they are still undefeated...

when we went back on the SPS archives and looked at some of the lunacy here it was deleted by the grand pooba. I guess other places let one dig up the stuff that someone says to highlight their stupidity.

The difference between 1996 and this year is that UK had a good team in '96.  This UK team isn't very good.

College basketball has been a big suckfest this year.

How can that lineup not be very good?

Piss poor coaching.

Uh, they are mostly freshman and have only played together for a few months.  Only two guys on their roster have ever played in a NCAA tourney game.

How can so many Top 50 guys play for Pearl and never get a look from the NBA.  How can a top 5 player like Hopson be so horrible after 2 years?  Piss poor coaching?

Dumbassery. Clearly a few months is not enough to establish team chemistry among the best recruiting class in a decade nationwide.

Only two guys on their roster have ever played in a NCAA tourney game.

And that's the way it will continue to be up there. There will be zero experience to fall back upon.

Surely you're not comparing UT talent to that mercenary NBA feeder. Hopson is the only recruit Pearl has had that would come remotely close to that. He has improved from last year.

Their chemistry isn't good at all, but its good enough to win the SEC. EASILY.  So you think ONE great recruiting class is all it takes?  Are you going to hold Pearl to the same high standards next year?

He's been around 2 years and he hasn't nearly tapped his potential.  Hell, he only gives effort half the time.
