I knew something was up when the "Touchdown Jesus" sculpture visible off I-75 in Ohio was struck by lightning and burned down.* 

Seriously, I wish Brother Alan nothing but the best and Godspeed.

*(Inside joke. TBA once posted a pic of that during a discussion on one of the old versions of SPS.)

i remember his internet radio show.
i had just moved to NYC and was so jonesing i listened and even gave Al constructive feedback when chastised me for not calling. 

there was a bigger plan for him. he just took a while to find it.
