Today is my wife and my 34th. We thought of good times and went to the Ye Old Steak House. We love the King Family and IMO they still are the best Steak House in the area. We have been going to this place since before we were married. I have been to RC and the other High End steak house's. IMO they are the best.

We also went to Inception, the damn music at East Town Mall made the movie unwatchable.. But we had a good time.

Years ago Carol and I eloped to Dandridge to marry on the 15th of July. Her family was in the Grand Caymans, my family was in Los Vegas. When both parents returned they DEMANDED a proper marriage. So me married again at Sacred Heart Cathederal in a proper Catholic Marriage on the 30th. So actually this was our 68th anniversary LOL

We are still ticking while trash that claim to have some sort of superior set of ethics have lost their way. We were lucky.. Just posting because I can and because the Parlor is a different bird than it use to be. I feel I can NOW throw this up without listening to trash or having to deal with it....

Bob,

Congratulations to you & Mrs. PV!

Best blessing I have ever received was meeting and marrying my wife!

BTW, about all MD said about retirement was that she had enjoyed 3 weeks of retirement and looked forward to her daughter's wedding.  She said "3 weeks" pointedly.

My guess is that trash that used to be on here is arguing with themselves or bored to tears with no one to stalk or abuse.

Congrats Plumb.

You are married to one saintly woman to still be married to her after all those years.

Plumber, I can still recall sitting at the bar at Sam 'n Andy's wondering just where in hell the rest of "the crew" was on a perfectly good Saturday night when a parade of cars rolled by on 18th Street with horns blowing and I learned that you and your bride had "jumped the broom."

You married "up" as did I.

Congrats all around.

I think this to be apropos:

If you don't know me by now

OMG
The night we got married in Dandridge we went to Cowboys on Douglas lake. I doubt they are still there. Great greasy fried seafood. We then drove to Pawleys Island and vacationed. From there I talked to the folks at the Savannah River Site about work. I was sent back to OR with Security Clearnace Papers in works. We stopped in Columbia SC and stayed with family for a couple of days. I fished the ponds in Fort Jackson and went into the swamps and caught REAL ROCK FISH. Went sking in lake Maury at my families lake house and returned home. Both families were back from vacation and our plan was to go in front of a damn priest and say I do and be done with it. Instead we got a marriage at the SH and neither Carol or myself wanted to be at this hell hole of a mad family wedding. Removed by order of my wife LOL!!

As I recall, it was after the second event.  You and Carol were smart enough to stay away from the Strip that night.  It got a little drunk out there.

BTW, I do think Cowboy's is still there or at least it was three years ago.

Last night was number 35 and counting so back to the Ye Olde we went, we considered driving to Cowboys but instead visited the Ye Olde. For our first annivesary of our 35th year (July 15th) we went and watched Harry Potter downtown with our daughter.  It's all good.

We were with Myrtle F. yesterday afternoon South of the River. She and My Boss are good friends. We were delivering a Confirmation gift for the lovely Bridgette.

The Boss and I discussed eating at Ye Olde but decided to go elsewhere.  Great minds - as they say ...

Anyway, congrats on 35!

OMG did you visit her at Myrtle's Mess or at her house? I was at a Fund Raiser and she was my official Bar Keep at the Convention Center.
