UT's record this year?
« on: July 08, 2017, 11:01:00 AM »

I say 8-4.

Losses to FL, GA, Bama and LSU. Tossups are SC and GaTech. KY has been called a tossup by many national pundits I just can't make KY a tossup game. I have to admit that UT has a dismal record in the game following Bama. SC seems to have our number and Muschamp just beats our ass. GaTech has a offense that throws a lot of teams off kilter, normally we should roll on them.

We should beat    Indiana State, UMass, Ky, Southern Miss, Missouri, Vanderbilt.

I for one think FL is going to surprise people, they should finish behind GA but I will have to see it to believe it. Their off-season pickup of QB Malik Zaire gives them a player who can make big plays with his feet but who can still throw the football. FL has 4 returning OL starters and Callaway Cleveland and Massey are SEC quality wr's. Their defense is best in the east.

GA should have an awesome defense and should be nearly as good as FL probably better coached. Their offense has a 2nd year starting QB in Jacob Eason. Chubb and Sony Michel are the RB's behind an inexperienced OL with talent. They are weak at WR but Chaney is their OC, he ran a solid offense under Dooley...... If they can score 27 points against UT they win. I think they can.

Bama is Bama

LSU has a knucklehead as a coach but they have TALENT SPEED and we get LSU at the end of the year not good. It is a home game and that favors UT, ESPN says LSU has a 59.5 of winning anyway.

More on KY, they project to only have a 40.1% chance of beating UT

I think they can beat SC pretty handily. I would think KY has a better team than SC. I' m going to say 9 and 3 if Butch doesn't lose the team
like he did in that SC game last year.

I think GA might be our best chance out of the four, followed by LSU. If Butch can't get at least one of these games, I'm
thinking he might need to move on.

We get FL, GA and LSU at home, I would think LSU would be our best shot at a victory. The GA job on paper could be an opportunity. They are young in some areas but they have them in their 5th game and GA if they are going mesh should be ready to roll by the 5th game.

Bama is an unlikely win. Could they beat Bama? In modern day football upsets happen way more than in the old days.
I remember Johnny saying the clock strikes midnight on winning streaks sooner or later, that was in the early 80's when
the Bama streak was ended by a lesser TN team.

Florida is in Gainesville. Too bad Alabama and Florida are both either home or away in the same year.

Sorry I was not very clear, I understand we get FL at Gainesville. Part of the reason I do not see us beating the Gayturds this year. I just write off Bama no reason to consider a scenario that UT wins

Missouri is on the road. Sorry. Now it is a toss up. Ga Tech is now a probable win but still a toss up. Still looks like 6-6.
